A large communications company announced a divestiture of their Australian business from the remaining northern hemisphere global organisation. A major portfolio of work was launched to manage the divestiture and build a brand-new IT foundational platform which services the remaining organisation’s technology and business requirements. In addition to the separation, they also acquired additional companies which required merging into the remaining company.

Solution

Facto came onboard to do the initial board level planning to define the high-level scope and budget of their program. Facto has a significant level of experience with Demergers and Mergers which contributed to the Portfolio Team obtaining funding approval to proceed with the detailed design and build phases. Facto is providing a range of consultancy services to the client, covering Program/Project Management, Project/Program Coordination, Quality Assurance, Audit Management and Organisational Change Management.

Result

Delivery is currently in progress at this organisation, where Facto manages over 10 different consultancies to deliver complex global Programs of work that is part of a $30M Portfolio. The organisation’s users through to CEO level have already experienced positive change engagement and have incorporated requirements and Quality Assurance into their practices as a result of Facto’s advice, practice and expertise. Through the establishment of QA practices, they have seen a reduction in cost and effort in onboarding of team members and testing cycle times, and an increase in confidence in their product quality indicators.
